Detroit’s first fully sanctioned food truck is open for business! As of approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday, El Guapo has started dishing out its unique brand of Mexican cuisine.
Straight forward menu. Made to order, but still quick. Guapo is quickly making its mark on the Detroit culinary scene. Tacos and burritos – chicken, steak, chorizo, or vegetarian. No tricks here. Don’t miss the Guapo sauce, a smoky and spicy Chipotle cream sauce.
Locally sourced ingredients and products are highlighted. Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company, Faygo, Pink Elephant Cupcakes, Hacienda tortillas, salsa made in Southwest Detroit, and local produce whenever possible.
Open 6 days a week for lunch, dinner, and late evening (until 11 p.m.) noshing. Eventually, the hours might expand to include breakfast and late night/early morning (after 2 a.m.).
El Guapo is a welcome addition to the Detroit food scene. We’re definitely looking forward to seeing Guapo all over the city.
