First Street Eats Wednesday at Royal Oak Farmers Market

The Farmers Market was packed for the entire night.

Food trucks are slowly moving from being a novelty to being a true source of sustenance in the metro Detroit area. Capitalizing on this burgeoning facet of dining, the Royal Oak Farmers Market presented its first Street Eats Wednesday on February 8.

El Guapo, Taco Mama, Ned’s Travelburger, Chow Catering, Concrete Cuisine, Jacques’ Tacos, Franks Anatra, and Treat Dreams all set up to serve what turned out to be thousands of hungry people. Some people waited in line for close to an hour, but once the food was in hand, smiles were on faces.

Given the long lines, we only had the opportunity to sample food from two trucks: Concrete Cuisine and Chow Catering. We took some photos of our meal (duh) and would like to share them with you.

We’re already looking forward to the next Street Eats event!
