#250 Falafel plate (by JoeFoodie)
Another milestone day calls for a milestone food. Falafel, when made properly, can be heavenly. Crunchy outside, creamy well textured inside and perfectly spiced. This plate also has hummus and cucumber yogurt sauce, pickled turnips, and tahini sauce (not tzatziki).

A spicy alternative to breakfast sausage. Chorizo is also great on nachos & in tacos.

#248 Turkish Eggs (by JoeFoodie)
Description from Cafe Zola’s menu:
Two eggs, oven-baked sunny-side up with sauteed spinach and a slice of French feta cheese. Served with sliced tomatoes, cucumbers & Mediterranean olives. As beautiful as it is delicious.
Supremely savory. This breakfast is near perfect. Everything on the plate makes sense. I added a side of spicy chorizo & was in heaven.
From Cafe Zola in Ann Arbor, MI.

#246 Sweet Potato Pie (by TheHungryDudes)
Having sampled many dishes at Arts, Beats, and Eats tonight, I have to admit that I was most blown away by this pie. Made by Andre’s Louisiana Seafood Sandwich Shop, the texture was silky, the filling was perfectly spiced and not too sweet, and the crust was buttery and flaky.

#245 Honey Nut Peanut Butter French Toast (by Wattyz)
My friend Dave posted a recipe online for peanut butter french toast yesterday. I used honey nut peanut butter, drizzled some warmed peanut butter on top, sprinkled chopped honey roasted peanuts on top, as well as a little shot of whipped cream.
