The Rattlesnake Club’s lush Garden Terrace, open for lunch, dinner, and happy hour service beginning May 29th, will again play host to a summer-long series of tasting events starting with “Wines by the Water” on Thursday, June 7th at 6:30pm. The tastings feature samples of eight-to-ten wines paired with small plates and live music; the wines will also be available for retail purchase.
Claudia Tyagi, Master Sommelier, has set a fun and unique theme for each event. “We are kicking off summer with ‘Wines by the Water’ as in where the wines will be served – on The Rattlesnake’s beautiful river-front Terrace – and where in the world the wines are grown and produced – near a body of water,” she explains. Expect a wide variety of wines from around the globe, each imparting specific flavors based on the grapes’ water-side growing regions.
Subsequent Garden Terrace Tasting event dates and themes are:
June 21st – The Coolest Grapes You’ve Never Met
July 12th – Summer Sparklers
July 19th – Summer Cocktails featuring New Holland Artisan Spirits
July 26th – Favorite Backyard Party Wines
August 9th – We Love Local!

Executive Chef Chris Franz and Chef de Cuisine Jeff Lanctot will work with each of Tyagi’s selections to create a small plates menu highlighting the wines. The chefs will be grilling many of the items on the Terrace, a feature always popular with the chefs and guests alike. “We enjoy being outside with the people. It makes us a part of the party,” said Franz. “Plus, the smells and sounds of the food hitting the grill really add to the event.”
