Beer Review - SAB - Pilsner Urquell

Brewery: Bürgerbrauerei - Pilsen, Czech Republic

Malty ——|——- Bitter

Light -|———— Dark

Pilsner Urquell is the original pilsner beer (pilsners include Becks, and Labatt Blue) originally brewed in 1842 this lager has a light but thick head and a honey color to it.  When I first picked up this beer the smell reminded me strongly of Rolling Rock, but don’t let that fool you.  While Pilsner Urquell has a light malty start it is a little more bitter than most pilsners your probably familiar with.  Urquell has a nice full bodied flavor and a nice strong finish with almost no after taste one of the few beers I feel like I could drink all night long.  If your a fan of Rolling Rock, Moose Head, or even Labatt Blue and looking for something new or are interested in expanding your horizons this is probably one of the best beers to go with.

ABV: 4.4%
